ECS was awarded the design and construction contract to develop an open area adjacent to the existing Belvoir Park regional playspace facilities.

The client was seeking to complement the facilities currently offered in the original playspace by offering activities more engaging for older children (6 years and over) to encourage longer visits and appeal to a wider range of users. this design & construct project took out the  Parks & Leisure Award (2024 ) for Best Playground over $500K for Victoria/Tasmania Region.

New play equipment was selected after extensive public consultation with a range of more challenging play activities arranged throughout the new playspace.

New shade structures, DDA BBQ and picnic settings, and drinking fountains have created a gathering space for park users, which has proven popular for birthday parties etc, integrating with the beautiful established trees and with views across the playspace to the lake.
